Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is seeking a Die Cut Machine Operator to operate die cutting equipment and produce quality components according to established production processes and customer specifications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operate die cutting equipment to produce die cut components according to documented processes and specifications.
Maintain 100% compliance with equipment-related production systems, processes, and safety requirements.
Set up jobs according to documented setup procedures and maintain production samples for traceability.
Perform part inspections to ensure required quality standards and metrics are met.
Support efficient production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
Follow Lean Manufacturing principles and participate in scheduled Kaizen events and continuous improvement activities.
Identify and report quality issues or nonconforming products to the Quality team.
Help contain potentially nonconforming product and complete required documentation.
Perform daily press maintenance as assigned and report mechanical issues to the Production Supervisor.
Record completed equipment maintenance in the appropriate press maintenance log.
Clean and maintain tooling according to manufacturer recommendations.
Complete required documentation for tooling repairs and report damaged tooling.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including press surfaces, materials, and carts.
Follow documented press practices, warning labels, and other safety procedures.
Work with team members to resolve problems and recommend improvements to products and processes.
Complete required production, quality, and performance documentation.
Attend work and return from breaks according to scheduled shift times.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
Experience operating die cutting equipment strongly preferred.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Basic math skills.
Ability to follow documented processes and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy.
Computer proficiency, including basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Experience with ERP or production reporting systems preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF/TS 16949 standards is a plus.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
Strong teamwork and accountability.
Qualifications
Ability to lift and move 30+ pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
Ability to stand and remain active throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely operate production equipment after proper training.
