MISSION
Perform duties associated with the Assembly Team to achieve performance goals. This position’s primary function will be to assemble or sub assemble components per prints and/or per general instructions. Could also be in Galvanized Cleaning with performs functions associated with cleaning and grinding off the galvanized paint from the landing gear leg/tube.
REPORT FOR ORIENTATION AT 9AM ON YOUR FIRST DAY WILL WORK UNTIL 2PM TO THE MAIN LOBBY
KEY OUTCOMES
1. Maximize results by optimized usage of tools, devices and methods.
2. Increase productivity standard times vs. current times, reduction of assembly lead times, increase utilization times, reduce delays and shortages.
3. Assemble landing gear legs and components of; correctly, efficiently with consistent quality work and following standardized work and quality standards.
4. Follow all standard work and Work Instructions (WI’s) and not deviate from.
5. Work independently and also to be a team player, work well with others and contribute to the success of the assembly team.
6. Log and complete training documents.
7. Perform tasks safely in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
8. Must be able to learn, cross train and gain proficiency in each position/station on the assembly lines and rotate daily as required to each of the 17 positions.
9. Lifting and punching of steel tubes in bushing press.
10. Communicate in courteous manner with coworkers, supervisors and other JOST teams.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to work in work in a team environment
2. Have a basic knowledge of torque equipment and basic hand tools and how to use it
3. Analyze and solve production requirements by interactive conversation with associates, suppliers and customers
4. Lift 50 pounds
5. Must be able to read and interpret written work instructions
6. Be able to work regular working hours and overtime as scheduled
7. Previous manufacturing experience
8. GED/High School Diploma or Equivalent
Dress Code: jeans, t-shirt, steel toed work boots, ear plugs, and safety glasses or goggles. Welding helmets are required in the welding area. Face shields are required if you are doing grinding or drilling work.

Grand Haven, MI, 1st Shift (5:30am–1:30pm, Monday–Friday), $18 per hour

What You’ll Be DoingAs an Assembler, your core responsibilities will include:
Assembly & Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble landing gears for various industries, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Galvanized Cleaning: Perform cleaning and preparation tasks to maintain product quality and consistency.
Documentation & Training: Log completed work and training documents accurately while cross-training in multiple positions/stations along the assembly line.
In addition, you will also be expected to adhere to safety rules and procedures while collaborating with team members to meet production goals.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:Responsible for performing tasks safely according to safety rules and procedures
Must be able to learn, cross-train, and gain proficiency in each position/station
GED or High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Skills:Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet production goals.
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of robotic welding and hand tools to perform assembly tasks.
Problem Solving: Analyze and solve production requirements with associates, suppliers, and customers.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret written work instructions accurately.
