1st Shift Monday – Friday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm; Saturday 5:00 am – 10:00 am
2nd Shift Monday – Friday 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Saturday 5:00 am – 10:00 am
Pay: $19.00+ per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laser Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring advanced laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves operating advanced CO2 and Fiber Optic laser cutting technology to support precision manufacturing across a variety of industries.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Laser Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to job specifications and production schedules.
Load and unload raw material using appropriate handling equipment.
Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using measuring devices and quality standards.
Identify material defects, machine issues, or quality concerns and report them promptly.
Complete basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate production records and job documentation.
Assist with sorting, labeling, and staging completed parts for downstream operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet customer delivery requirements.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
In addition, you may also be requested to help with manual material handling, packaging, and other production duties as needed in the warehouse to accomplish company goals and deadlines.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications/ Skill Sets:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience operating laser cutting equipment, CNC machinery, or other manufacturing equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and production documentation
Basic knowledge of measuring equipment, including tape measures, calipers, and gauges
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process-related issues
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Forklift experience or certification is a great addition to this role
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Ability to frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, and perform repetitive physical tasks
Visual ability to inspect parts, identify defects, and monitor machine operations
Ability to safely work around automated manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, and material handling equipment.
Willingness and ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe footwear
Commitment to following all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
