Location:  Dexter, MI  Shift:  1st Shift  Pay:  $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced  CNC Operator  to join a growing manufacturing team in Dexter, MI. In this role, you'll be responsible for operating CNC machines, inspecting parts for quality, performing basic machine maintenance, and supporting production goals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC experience who is mechanically inclined and looking to grow their skills with a family-owned company.

What You'll Be Doing

As a CNC Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Machine Operation:  Load and unload parts, operate CNC equipment, and maintain production levels while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Quality Inspection:  Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment while documenting quality information and following inspection procedures.
  • Machine Maintenance:  Perform basic cleaning, oiling, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance while changing tools, drills, and inserts as needed.
In addition, you will stock machines with production materials, monitor machine performance, enter production and quality data, and assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic mathematical skills.
Skills:
  • Attention to Detail:  Ability to maintain quality standards and identify defects.
  • Mechanical Aptitude:  Comfortable troubleshooting minor machine issues and performing routine maintenance.
  • Initiative:  Self-directed with a willingness to learn new skills and processes.
  • Problem Solving:  Ability to identify issues and make adjustments to maintain production.
  • Reliability:  Strong attendance and commitment to safety and quality.
