Corrugator Operator Trainee
Location: Holland, MI Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Pay: $18.00 per hour Overtime: May be required before the start of the shift. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
Job Summary
Are you mechanically inclined and looking to build a career in manufacturing? We're seeking a Corrugator Operator Trainee to join the Corrugator Department in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced operators, learning how to run and maintain equipment that manufactures corrugated cardboard sheets used to produce boxes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in machine operation, manufacturing equipment, and career growth into a Machine Operator position.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Corrugator Operator Trainee, your core responsibilities will include:
? Support Corrugator Operations: Work directly with machine operators to help keep production running efficiently and safely.
? Material Handling & Quality Control: Load, move, stack, and organize raw materials and finished products while inspecting products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
? Equipment Support: Assist with machine setups, material changes, cleanup, and minor adjustments as trained.
In addition, you will help maintain production flow, monitor product quality, and learn machine troubleshooting techniques from experienced operators.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
? Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience. ? Ability to lift 35-50 lbs. regularly throughout the shift. ? Ability to stand, bend, climb, perform repetitive tasks, and safely work around industrial machinery, including crawling under and reaching over equipment, while working overtime as required.
Skills
? Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working around machinery and learning equipment operation.
? Measuring Skills: Ability to read a tape measure and follow production specifications.
? Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively with operators and supervisors.
? Willingness to Learn: Interested in developing machine operation, setup, and troubleshooting skills.
Work Environment
? Large corrugated box manufacturing facility. ? Extremely hot, dusty, and fast-paced production environment. ? Frequent lifting, bending, standing, climbing, and material handling throughout the shift.
