Die Cast Machine OperatorLocation: Grandville, MI
Shift: 1st Shift: 5:00 am – 3:00 pm,
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Job SummaryThe Die Cast Machine Operator is responsible for operating aluminum and zinc high-pressure die casting equipment, producing quality castings, maintaining production standards, and ensuring all safety and quality requirements are met. This position offers opportunities for advancement into technical and process-related roles for individuals who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What You'll Be DoingAs a Die Cast Machine Operator, your core responsibilities will include:Operate manual and automated die casting equipment to produce quality parts safely and efficiently.
Monitor production, inspect parts for quality standards, and maintain required cycle times.
Load, unload, trim, and process castings according to work instructions.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and assist with machine setups, die changes, and tooling activities.
Record production data, downtime, and corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with technicians, team leaders, and supervisors to achieve production goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
In addition, you will also be expected to Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements. What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
Manufacturing, machine operation, or die casting experience preferred.
Familiarity with quality inspections and production standards.
Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment.
