Job Title 1st Shift – General Labor/Assistant to Cleaning Technician
Location Grand Rapids, MI
Pay $18 per hour
Shift Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Job Summary Our client is seeking a reliable, hardworking General Laborer to assist Cleaning Technicians with residential and commercial carpet-cleaning services. Responsibilities include moving furniture, preparing work areas, operating cleaning equipment, loading and unloading supplies, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Applicants should be punctual, able to lift up to 50 pounds, work well with a team, and provide friendly customer service. Training is provided; prior cleaning experience is not required.
Responsibilities ? Respond to water, fire, and mold restoration projects including extraction, drying, demolition, and basic repairs ? Set up and monitor drying equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers ? Operate and maintain cleaning and restoration equipment as needed ensuring all work is completed efficiently and meets company quality standards ? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment ? Follow all safety procedures and company policies while on job sites ? Assist team members as needed to complete projects on schedule
Key Qualifications ? Valid driver’s license ? Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physical labor in various environments ? Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship ? Excellent customer service and communication skills ? Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented ? Ability to work independently and follow instructions
