1st Shift - General Laborer Location: Elkhart, IN  Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM–4:30 PM Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-11:00am Fridays  Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour Job Summary Are you mechanically inclined, hands-on, and looking for an opportunity to put your skills to work? We're seeking a General Laborer to join our team in Elkhart, IN. In this role, you'll help assemble and prepare portable engines and generators for shipment while using your mechanical skills and attention to detail to ensure each unit is properly built and packaged.This is a flexible, hands-on position where your daily responsibilities may vary based on production needs. Candidates should be comfortable learning and performing different tasks throughout the facility. What You’ll Be Doing As a General Laborer, your core responsibilities will include: -Engine & Generator Assembly: Mount portable engines and generators onto frame assemblies, ensuring components are properly positioned and secured.-Battery Connections: Connect battery cables to units as part of the assembly process.-Fastening Components: Tighten bolts and hardware to securely assemble portable units.-Packaging: Properly package completed portable units to protect them during transit.-Flexible Job Duties: Perform different tasks as needed throughout the facility. Daily responsibilities may change depending on production needs, so flexibility and a willingness to learn are essential. In addition, you will also be expected to inspect your work, maintain an organized workspace, and assist with other assembly tasks as needed.
