1st Shift - Grinder/Fabricator Assistant
Location: Holland, MI Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30PM Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Grinder/Fabricator Assistant to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping ensure welded steel components meet quality standards and are properly prepared for the next stage of production.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Grinder/Fabricator Assistant, your core responsibilities will include:
? Grinding & Finishing: Grind, smooth, and clean welded metal parts to remove sharp edges, weld splatter, and imperfections while maintaining quality standards.
? Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications before moving to the next stage of production.
? Material Handling & Production Support: Move, stage, and organize materials while supporting welders and fabricators throughout the manufacturing process.
In addition, you will be expected to read work instructions and blueprints, use hand tools safely, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent. ? Previous manufacturing, fabrication, grinding, or material handling experience. ? Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Skills:
? Blueprint & Measurement Reading: Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and tape measures accurately.
? Quality & Attention to Detail: Ability to identify defects and ensure finished parts meet specifications.
? Teamwork, Reliability & Work Ethic: Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors while working safely, efficiently, and maintaining productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
? Work Environment: Hot and loud manufacturing environment with significant welding activity throughout the production areas.
? Requires standing, bending, lifting, and using hand grinders and other tools throughout the shift.
