Machine Builder, $25–$32/Hour – Spring Lake, MI
Do you love working with your hands and want to be part of a team that builds machines from the ground up? Are you mechanically inclined and eager to learn electrical work too or vice versa? Then come check this place out and make a change.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman-like mechanical experience required
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
- Must be willing and able to travel nationwide
- Must have consistent employment history to be considered
Skills:
- Patience and attention to detail (most builds take 6–12 months)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of soldering, wire gauging/sizing, and handling 24–480 volts
- Ability to read and calibrate micrometers, calipers, and volt meters
- Basic tools required (drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and “get your hands dirty”
As a Machine Builder, not only will you be assembling highly customized industrial machinery, but you’ll also cross-train in both mechanical and electrical skills. After training (which takes about 18 months), you’ll also travel to customer sites to complete on-site builds and setups. This is a long-term opportunity for someone looking to master a trade and grow within a company.
