We're seeking a Manufacturing Associate to join our team in Elkhart, IN. In this role, you'll be responsible for matching production orders to staged materials, moving products to the appropriate workstation, and performing a variety of assembly, packaging, labeling, and material-handling tasks while maintaining high standards for quality and productivity.What You'll Be DoingAs a Manufacturing Associate, your core responsibilities will include:-Production & Assembly: Assemble products according to instructions from the Production Supervisor or Production Team Leader and operate sewing machinery or assist machine operators as needed.-Material Handling & Order Fulfillment: Pick materials to satisfy production orders, move products to designated workstations, and lift, weigh, count, and organize materials throughout the production process.-Packaging & Quality: Create cartons, package finished products, apply labels, and ensure products are produced at the expected rate while minimizing scrap and downtime.-In addition, you will also be expected to keep work areas clean and organized, follow all safety and quality standards, immediately report safety hazards or incidents, assist with year-end inventory when needed, and complete other tasks assigned by production leadership.What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious light or heavy manufacturing or production experience preferredExperience with industrial sewing, upholstery covering, fabric cutting, repackaging, or metal stamping setting machines preferred but can be trainedAbility to stand or sit for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 49 lbs. from floor to chest levelAbility to communicate and articulate information clearlyAbility to interpret product drawingsBasic understanding of both imperial and metric measurement systemsAbility to measure components using tape measures, calipers, and angle gaugesAbility to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractionsAbility to work in high-temperature conditions, particularly during summer months, as production work centers and picking zones are not air conditionedSkills:-Production: Ability to complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and with a strong focus on quality and productivity.-Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately match production orders, measure components, package products, and follow documented specifications.-Organization: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.-Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a production team while communicating clearly with supervisors and team leads.-Adaptability: Comfortable handling multiple situations simultaneously and willing to ask questions and seek assistance when needed.What We're Looking For in a CandidateThe ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.
