1st Shift - Metal Fabricator  Location: Elkhart, IN  Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday  Pay: $19.50 per hour  Overtime: Available as needed Job Summary Are you interested in learning a skilled trade and building a career in metal fabrication? We're seeking a Metal Fabricator to join our team in Elkhart, IN. In this role, you'll fabricate the support brackets and custom framing used to mount commercial vehicle mirrors. You'll work with metal components, perform fabrication and fitting work, and learn MIG welding as a major part of the position.No previous MIG welding experience is required! Training will be provided for the right candidate. However, a genuine desire to learn, willingness to be taught, and commitment to developing your welding skills are required for this position. What You'll Be DoingAs a Metal Fabricator, your core responsibilities will include: -Metal Fabrication: Fabricate support brackets and other metal components used in the assembly and installation of commercial vehicle mirrors.-Custom Framing: Build and modify custom metal framing as needed to ensure mirror assemblies properly fit and mount to different commercial vehicles.-MIG Welding: Learn and perform MIG welding to join, repair, and fabricate metal components according to production specifications.-Fitting & Quality: Measure, position, and fit components accurately to ensure finished brackets and frames meet quality and dimensional requirements.-In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and organized workstation, safely operate fabrication equipment, follow production and safety procedures, and communicate any quality or production concerns to leadership.
