Prepared Date: Approved By: Approved Date: Summary: Weld metal parts with a mig welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagrams, and/or work order by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Position parts in fixture on bench or floor. Bolts, clamps, and track-welds parts to secure in position for welding. Examines welds for fillet size and other specifications. Turn on welder; adjust wire speed, and temperature settings. Welds parts per training and/or experience. Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or splatter. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no Supervisory Responsibilities. This position is responsible for performing MIG welding on metal components while ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a safe work environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting and have a strong attention to detail.
