Summary:
Weld metal parts with a mig welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagrams, and/or work order by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Position parts in fixture on bench or floor.
Bolts, clamps, and track-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
Examines welds for fillet size and other specifications.
Turn on welder; adjust wire speed, and temperature settings.
Welds parts per training and/or experience.
Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or splatter.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

MIG Welder

Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced and dependable MIG Welder to join a manufacturing team in Muskegon, MI. This position is responsible for performing MIG welding on metal components while ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a safe work environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting and have a strong attention to detail.
What You'll Be DoingPerform MIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies
Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and welding specifications
Inspect welds and finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Operate welding equipment and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently
Grind, clean, and prepare materials for welding as needed
Maintain production goals while ensuring accuracy and consistency
Follow OSHA/MIOSHA safety procedures, rules, and regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S procedures and processes
What We're Looking ForQualificationsPrevious MIG welding experience required
Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and welding diagrams
Strong understanding of welding safety and quality standards
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
