A Muskegon manufacturer specializing in metal fabrication is seeking a Machine Operator. This is a full time temporary to permanent position with a complete benefits package available upon hire in. Medical, dental, 401K, paid holidays and vacation are available upon hire in.
Job Duties:
Operating and setting up brake presses
Operating a drill press
May be doing some assembly as well
Qualifications:
Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
Ability to comprehend & interpret documents such as work instructions, safety procedures & operation procedures
Ability to solve practical problems, good decision making, planning, organizing, effective communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to interact at various levels of organization
Ability to move to various departments may be required depending on production demands.
Strong attention to detail
GED or HS diploma is required
Excellent communication skills

What You’ll Be DoingAs a Miscellaneous Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
Assembly: Assemble components according to work instructions, ensuring quality standards are met.
Drilling: Operate drilling equipment to prepare parts for assembly.
PEM Machine Operation: Run a PEM insertion machine accurately and safely.
In addition, you will also be expected to inspect parts using basic measurement tools and assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
What We’re Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
Some prior manufacturing experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome
Ability to read prints and use calipers is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
Attention to Detail: Ensure components meet quality standards and follow assembly instructions.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfort working with hand tools, machinery, and basic equipment.
Teamwork: Work effectively with others in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
