1st Shift Machine Operator Assistant - Corrugator Department
Location: Holland, MI Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM Pay: $18.00 per hour: Overtime may be required before the start of the shift. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
Job Summary
Are you a hardworking and dependable individual looking for a hands-on manufacturing role? We're seeking a Machine Operator Assistant to join the Corrugator Department in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll work alongside an experienced machine operator, helping keep production running efficiently while learning the skills needed to advance into a machine operator position.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Machine Operator Assistant, your core responsibilities will include:
? Assist the Operator: Work directly with the current machine operator to support daily production activities and maintain efficient workflow.
? Material Handling: Load, move, stack, and organize raw materials and finished products throughout the department.
? Quality Inspection: Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company standards.
? Machine Support: Assist with machine setup, material changes, cleanup, and minor machine adjustments as trained.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
? Previous manufacturing or production experience. ? Ability to lift 35-50 lbs. regularly throughout the shift. ? Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. ? Willingness to crawl under, reach over, and safely work around machinery. ? Ability to work overtime as required.
Skills
? Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using hand tools and learning machinery operation.
? Measuring Skills: Ability to read a tape measure and follow production specifications.
? Willingness to Learn: Open to training on machine operation, minor setups, and troubleshooting.
Work Environment
? Extremely hot and dusty manufacturing environment. ? Frequent lifting, bending, standing, climbing, and material handling throughout the shift. ? Overtime may be required before the start of the shift. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.
