Molding – Sr. Lead
Location: Byron Center, MI Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 6 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: $22 per hour
Job Summary
We’re seeking a Molding – Sr. Lead to direct daily production, support machine operators, resolve and escalate employee conflicts, and ensure safe, efficient operations. This role requires leadership ability, mechanical aptitude, and comfort using PeopleSoft for updating production data.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and direct team members throughout the shift
Address employee conflicts and escalate when needed
Operate and monitor molding and expander equipment
Assist with machine setup, adjustments, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance
Ensure production quality and workflow efficiency
Update production data and reports in PeopleSoft
Assign tasks and maintain production schedules
Communicate equipment concerns to supervisors
Train new employees and support department transfers
Follow all safety and lock out/tag out procedures
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred
Leadership or team lead experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks
Ability to work independently and lead others
Skills:
Strong leadership and conflictresolution abilities
Machine operation and mechanical aptitude
Computer skills, including PeopleSoft
Clear verbal and written communication
Attention to detail and safety awareness
Teamwork and reliability
