Racker / PackerLocation: Grand Rapids, MIShift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday (overtime as needed)Pay: $16.50 per hour Job SummaryThe Racker / Packer is responsible for supporting powder coating operations by preparing parts for the coating process, hanging and removing products from racks, inspecting finished parts, and packaging completed orders for shipment. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position offers opportunities for growth and advancement for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic. What You'll Be DoingAs a Racker / Packer, your core responsibilities will include: Hang parts and components on racks according to production specifications.
Remove finished products from racks following the powder coating process.
Inspect parts for quality, finish consistency, and defects.
Package finished products to customer and company specifications.
Label, sort, and prepare completed orders for shipment.
Maintain production flow to meet daily output goals.
Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the production process.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
Assist team members with production needs and special projects as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
In addition, you will be expected to follow all safety policies and procedures while promoting a quality-focused work environment. What We're Looking ForQualificationsManufacturing, production, warehouse, or assembly experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
