Qualifications:
?? Certificate from accredited institution or one year of related work
experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
?? Ability to read and comprehend work order instructions in English
?? U.S. work authorization required
Skills:
?? Strong knowledge of HVLP spray guns, including setup, usage, and
maintenance (training provided during first 2 weeks)
?? Ability to apply even coatings with minimal runs or thin spots
?? Forklift, hoist, or pallet truck operation for moving heavy loads
?? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions,
and decimals
?? Good communication skills and attention to detail
As a Painter, you’ll spray paint steel racks and containers using HVLP
equipment, prep items, and follow work orders to ensure quality finishes within
cycle times. This role requires standing for long shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs
(occasionally 100 lbs), and wearing an OSHA-approved respirator. You’ll also
help with inventory, shipping prep, and keeping the work area clean. Depending
on your work ethic, this role could be a short-term opportunity or a long-term

Location: Holland, MIShift: 6:00 AM–4:00 PM | Monday–ThursdayPay: $20.00/hour
Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Wet Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing and applying high-quality wet coat finishes to manufactured parts while ensuring products meet company quality standards. The ideal candidate has previous painting experience, takes pride in producing a quality finish, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Wet Coat Painter, your core responsibilities will include:
Applying Wet Coat Finishes: Apply wet coat paint to manufactured parts and components using proper painting techniques and equipment.
Preparing Parts for Painting: Clean, mask, and prepare surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and a quality finish.
Inspecting Finished Products: Examine painted parts to verify finish quality, coverage, and compliance with customer specifications.
Maintaining Painting Equipment: Clean and maintain spray guns, paint booths, and related equipment to ensure proper operation.
Following Paint Specifications: Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer and company specifications while maintaining consistent quality.
Maintaining a Safe Work Environment: Follow all safety procedures while keeping the paint area clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
In addition, you will assist with moving parts, preparing materials, and supporting production schedules as needed.

Previous wet coat painting experience preferred.
Experience using spray guns and painting equipment preferred.

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, and production equipment.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and other safety equipment.
