Job Summary
Are you detail-oriented, steady-handed, and comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on work? We're seeking a Priming Associate to join an automotive operation in Romulus, MI. This role takes the right touch: you'll clean parts and use a handheld dispensing device to apply a viscous primer in a precise, prescribed path before Ford Bronco components move to liner installation. Exact priming experience is not required, but success depends on control, consistency, and an eye for even coverage.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Priming Associate, your core responsibilities will include:
- Part Preparation: Clean and properly handle automotive components before the priming process.
- Precision Primer Application: Use a handheld dispensing device to apply viscous primer in the prescribed path, maintaining even coverage without drips, gaps, or excess material.
- Production and Quality Support: Prepare parts for liner installation, inspect the application for quality, and follow the required process.
You will also maintain an organized workstation, follow all safety procedures, and build your application skill through hands-on training and feedback.

Qualifications:
- Experience with detailed hands-on work that requires controlled application along a specific path or pattern. Transferable backgrounds may include manually applying adhesive, urethane, sealant, or coating in manufacturing; precision painting such as interior trim; detailed finishing; or art and craft painting. Exact priming experience is not required.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while maintaining accuracy and consistent quality throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and availability for the full schedule and possible shift extensions.
Skills:
- Steady Hand and Dexterity: Ability to control a handheld dispensing device and apply primer accurately without dripping.
- Precision and Visual Judgment: Ability to follow a prescribed path, achieve even coverage, and recognize gaps, excess material, or other quality concerns.
- Patience, Consistency, and Learning Ability: Ability to repeat the process with care, accept coaching, and improve technique quickly while maintaining production pace.
