Location: Harrison Charter Township, MI Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Harrison Charter Township, MI. In this role, you'll be responsible for welding industrial racks, inspecting weld quality, and supporting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with MIG welding experience who is looking to grow with a company that invests in its employees and promotes from within.
What You'll Be Doing
As a MIG Welder, your core responsibilities will include:
Production Welding: Perform MIG welding on industrial racks while maintaining production and quality standards.
Quality Control: Work closely with the quality department to ensure welds are consistent, free of porosity, and meet customer specifications.
Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area with products stacked neatly and free of debris.
In addition, you will replace wire drums and spools as needed, inspect completed welds, assist with production goals, and perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
Previous MIG welding experience required.
Production welding experience preferred.
Industrial rack welding experience is highly preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Ability to read and follow work instructions.
Must bring your own welding helmet for the weld test.
Skills:
Welding Knowledge: Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds in a production environment.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and correct weld defects.
Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working with welding equipment and replacing wire drums and spools.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with production and quality teams.
Reliability: Strong attendance and commitment to safety and quality standards.
