Job Title: Drill Press Operator
Job Summary: The Drill Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating drill press machines to drill, ream, tap, countersink, and perform other machining operations on metal parts. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate drill press equipment according to work instructions and specifications.
Select and install the correct drill bits, fixtures, and tooling.
Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards throughout production.
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
Assist with other manufacturing or machining tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating drill presses or other machining equipment preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, oils, and metal shavings
