Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is hiring a Quality Control Technician
in Romulus, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring product quality, performing routine inspections, and helping maintain cleanliness on the production floor. This is a hands-on position that combines quality assurance with light physical labor in a fast-paced food production environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Quality Control Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
- Quality Inspections: Perform scheduled QA checks on the production floor and record findings using a tablet/iPad
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure products meet USDA, FDA, BRC, and company quality standards
- Line Maintenance: Keep the production area tidy by scooping and removing product buildup as needed throughout the shift
- Reporting Issues: Communicate any quality concerns to supervisors promptly
- Production Support: Assist on the production line when needed
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control or a similar role
- Ability to work in a factory/warehouse/freezer environment
- Willingness to work Saturdays as needed
Skills & Physical Requirements:
- Dependability is critical —strong attendance and reliability required
- Ability to work independently after training
- Comfortable performing physical tasks, including scooping product and climbing ladders multiple times per shift
- Ability to work in varying conditions (loud, wet, hot/cold environments)
- Strong attention to detail and basic tech skills for data entry
Shift & Employment Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime: Saturdays as needed
- Contract-to-hire potential
