a great company? Do you have experience working in a steel manufacturing environment? Do you have experience working on steel slitters as an operator or helper? If so, look no further!
Qualifications:
- Identify different grades of steel
- Assemble separator arms
- Identify problems or defects as steel is rewound on recoiler
- Remove coils from recoiler
- Apply OD bands to coils
- Document cut #, coil dimensions and heat # on each coil.
- Responsible for work area being kept clean and orderly.
- Report any quality concerns, including stopping production to prevent a nonconformance , to the immediate supervisor.
Skills:
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must possess basic reading, writing and math skills
- Related Equipment:
- Equipment associated with loading and unloading coils
- Banding equipment
- Slitter separator arms
- Overhead Crane
- Micrometer
- Caliper
- Tape Measure
A day in the life at this company for this position consists of showing up and working 5am-3pm, Monday through Friday. In this position, you’d be responsible for
helping
in
the operat
ion
of steel slitters. Must have some knowledge of steel manufacturing.
