Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Stockroom Clerk to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us maintain accurate inventory and ensure that production has the materials it needs to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
As a
Stockroom Clerk
, your core responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and distributing materials: Control, track, and reorder all indirect materials necessary for production and production-supported activities.
- Inventory management: Conduct inventory counts, perform scheduled cycle counts, maintain perpetual inventory controls, and document discrepancies.
- Kitting and preparation: Prepare materials for work orders, print and label assembly instructions and drawings, ensure kits are complete, and communicate shortages to supervisors.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with shipping, stocking, distributing, and packaging duties as needed, and perform computer tasks related to stockroom operations while interacting with staff for material inquiries.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or similar role
- Ability to read and write receiving documentation, perform basic math functions and metric conversions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills:
- Attention to detail: Ensures accurate inventory tracking and proper labeling of materials.
- Computer proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with spreadsheets and database software.
- Communication: Strong skills to coordinate with production staff and address material needs effectively.
