1st Shift - Temporary Forklift Operator Location: Elkhart, IN  Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Monday–Friday  Assignment: Monday, October 26 – Friday, October 30 Pay: $20.00 per hour + Attendance Bonus Job Summary Are you an experienced forklift operator looking for a short-term opportunity? We're seeking a Forklift Operator to assist with loading and unloading freight at a busy warehouse in Elkhart, IN. This facility operates as a cross-dock for the RV industry as well as a public warehouse, so you'll work with a wide variety of freight and materials. This is a one-week temporary assignment, and perfect attendance is required. Employees who successfully complete the assignment with perfect attendance will receive an attendance bonus at the end of the assignment. What You’ll Be Doing As a Forklift Operator, your core responsibilities will include: -Load & Unload Freight: Safely load and unload trailers using a forklift, handling freight of various sizes and weights.-Oversized Freight: Operate a forklift with standard-sized forks to safely move and position oversized freight. Previous experience handling oversized freight on standard forks is required.-Material Movement: Move freight throughout the warehouse to designated areas for organization, staging, and shipment.-Freight Staging: Properly stage incoming and outgoing freight to support efficient cross-dock and warehouse operations.-Warehouse Organization: Maintain organized freight locations and ensure products are positioned safely and efficiently.-Safety & Accuracy: Follow safe forklift operating practices and warehouse procedures while handling freight carefully to prevent damage. In addition, you will also be expected to assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as needed. What We’re Looking For in a Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused forklift operator who can confidently handle a variety of freight.Because this is a short-term assignment, we're looking for someone who can show up on time every day, work the entire assignment, and contribute immediately.
