Warehouse Associate (Cold Storage)
Location: Taylor, MI Shift: Early Team (5 AM – Approximately 3-5 PM PM) Pay: $17.00/hr.
Job Summary
Are you looking for a hands-on opportunity with steady hours and overtime potential? We’re seeking dependable Warehouse Associates (Cold Storage) to join a busy food distribution team in Taylor, MI. This role is critical to keeping operations moving by supporting the early team, helping stage and organize products before the main production team arrives.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Deep Freezer Production Associate, your core responsibilities will include:
Pick & Pack Operations: Assist with handling and organizing food products, primarily bread-related items, in a cold storage environment.
Material Handling: Move pallets of product and place materials onto storage racks and rollers throughout the deep freezer area to support daily operations.
Warehouse & Team Support: Help prep products for the production team, maintain organized storage areas, and assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
In addition, you will work closely with the team to help eliminate bottlenecks, maintain workflow efficiency, and ensure products are stored accurately and safely.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
Ability to lift 40–50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
Comfortable lifting and placing products above waist height onto racks and rollers.
Ability to work in a cold storage/deep freezer environment for extended periods.
Must be dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
Warehouse, production, or pick-and-pack experience preferred but not required.
Skills:
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform repetitive lifting and movement throughout long shifts.
Reliability: Strong attendance is critical in this key operational role.
Teamwork: Work effectively with others to help prepare operations before the main crew arrives.
Adaptability: Comfortable working in changing production environments and helping wherever needed.
Work Environment
This position works in the coldest area of the facility. Employees should expect cold temperatures throughout the building, with significantly colder conditions in the deep freezer area. Closed-toe shoes are required, and employees should dress warmly in layers to remain comfortable throughout the shift.
