Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Line Lead to oversee department operations and ensure production and delivery schedules are met. This role is responsible for supervising employees, coordinating workflow, maintaining customer communication, and supporting continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Production Supervisor, your core responsibilities will include:
Supervising Department Employees: Perform job duties of supervised employees as needed to meet production and delivery schedules while overseeing daily department operations.
Scheduling & Work Coordination: Prepare and modify department schedules, assign work and workstations, and coordinate machine setups to support efficient production flow.
Training & Performance Oversight: Train department personnel, delegate responsibilities, evaluate performance, and ensure company policies and quality standards are followed.
Production & Material Management: Monitor production to ensure timely completion and shipment of products, transport raw materials to and from work areas, and maintain accurate production records.
Customer Communication & Support: Communicate production status and shipment dates internally and externally, participate in customer status meetings, service existing customers, and assist with new customer development.
Quoting & Issue Resolution: Participate in preparing, presenting, and following up on quotes for existing and new customers, and assist in mediating disputes with customers or shippers as needed.
Leadership & Collaboration: Participate in management meetings, support continuous improvement initiatives, and perform other incidental supervisory duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● Ability to supervise production personnel in a manufacturing environment
● Experience delegating tasks, training employees, and evaluating performance
● Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
● Ability to understand and apply company policies, quality standards, and delivery requirements
● Experience managing and recording data both electronically and in written form.

Skills:
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, including routine business correspondence
● Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
● Proven ability to build cooperative working relationships with management, subordinates, and customers
● Continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency, quality, and customer service
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
● Ability to stand, sit, move, climb, bend, stoop, push/pull up to 50 lbs., lift up to 50 lbs., and meet hearing and visual acuity requirements.
