Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am to 3:30pm, Monday–Friday; Overtime possible on Saturdays Pay: $17/hr
Job Summary
Are you a dependable and hardworking individual who doesn’t mind getting a little dirty? We’re seeking a Washbooth / Material Handler to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep production running smoothly by cleaning and preparing materials through the wash booth system while managing material movement throughout the facility. If you’re physically active, safety-minded, and enjoy a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you!
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Washbooth / Material Handler, your core responsibilities will include:
? Operating the wash booth system: Clean and prepare bins and materials to ensure they meet quality and cleanliness standards. ? Handling materials efficiently: Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to maintain production flow. ? Performing inspections and maintenance: Check bins before and after washing, and perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting on wash booth equipment. ? Supporting production operations: Stage and prepare materials for production and shipping while maintaining accurate inventory and material movement records. Additionally, you’ll be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and adhere to all company safety policies.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications: ? Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments preferred. ? Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. ? Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. ? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills: ? Equipment Operation: Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (certification a plus). ? Mechanical Awareness: Ability to monitor, maintain, and perform light troubleshooting on wash booth systems. ? Organization & Accuracy: Keeps materials and inventory organized to ensure efficient workflow. ? Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and ready to stay active and engaged during the full shift.
