Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 5:00 AM–3:30 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $20.00–$30.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Holland, MI. In this role, you'll fabricate and weld structural steel components according to blueprint specifications, ensuring each finished product meets the highest standards of quality and precision. The ideal candidate has strong MIG welding and fabrication experience, enjoys working with their hands, and takes pride in producing quality workmanship.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Welder / Fabricator, your core responsibilities will include:
Metal Fabrication: Manufacture and fabricate finished steel products according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
MIG Welding: Assemble and weld structural components and sub-assemblies using MIG welding techniques.
Quality Inspection: Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to verify quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Material Preparation: Measure, fit, and prepare metal tubing, pipe, and structural components prior to welding.
Maintaining Work Areas: Keep workstations, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and operating safely.
In addition, you will collaborate with team members to meet production goals while following all company safety policies and quality procedures.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical training or previous experience as a structural welder/fabricator.
Ability to fabricate, fit, and weld metal tube and pipe.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Skills
MIG Welding: Proficient in MIG welding thin-gauge and mild steel materials.
Fabrication: Strong fitting, layout, and fabrication skills.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
Measuring Tools: Ability to read tape measures, welding gauges, and weld symbols.
Quality Control: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality welds that meet AWS standards.
Time Management & Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently while collaborating with production team members.
Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining production standards.
