JOB DESCRIPTION
SANITATION TEAM MEMBER
OVERVIEW
The purpose of the Sanitation Team is to maintain a clean healthy and safe working environment for all employees and visitors and to prevent the contamination of our raw materials and finished products.
OVERSITE AND MANAGEMENT
The Sanitation Team on all shifts will report directly to and be under the supervision of the Sanitation Supervisor. In the absence of the Sanitation Supervisor, the Lead Janitor will be in charge.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
The Sanitation Team Member is to perform the tasks as described in the Shift Task Schedule developed for each shift.
The Sanitation Team Member is to perform tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor in addition to the Shift Task Schedule.
The Sanitation Team Member is required to work overtime from time to time, including Saturdays.
The Sanitation Team Member is required to be a licensed Fork Lift and Scissor Lift Operator.
The Sanitation Team Member is required to be able to work from a Scissor Lift up to 60 ft above the floor.
The Sanitation Team Member is required to be able to lift 60 lbs.
The Sanitation Team Member is required to have a working knowledge (after a training orientation) of all chemicals being used for sanitation purposes.
SCOPE
The responsibilities described are to extend to the entire building
WORKING CONDITIONS & CHARACTER EXPECTATIONS
During the course of duty the Sanitation Team Member is to observe the conditions described in the Handy Wacks Good Manufacturing Practices Policy and be an example of integrity, honesty, and work ethic.

Location: Sparta, MI Pay: $16/hr Shift: 2nd shift (train on 1st for 1-2 weeks)
Job Summary
The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe working environment for employees and visitors while helping prevent contamination of raw materials and finished products. This position is responsible for completing sanitation tasks throughout the entire facility and following all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Responsibilities
Complete sanitation tasks according to the Shift Task Schedule established for the assigned shift.
Perform additional sanitation duties and tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions throughout the entire building.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation procedures.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment for employees and visitors.
Properly use and handle sanitation chemicals after completing required training and orientation.
Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and in accordance with company requirements.
Work from a scissor lift at heights of up to 60 feet above the floor.
Maintain high standards of integrity, honesty, dependability, and work ethic.
Work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
Requirements
Must be a licensed/certified Forklift Operator.
Must be a licensed/certified Scissor Lift Operator.
Must be comfortable working from a scissor lift up to 60 feet above the floor.
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
Must be willing and able to work overtime, including Saturdays, as needed.
Must develop a working knowledge of all sanitation chemicals following required training and orientation.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned tasks.
Must demonstrate strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
