JOB DESCRIPTION SANITATION TEAM MEMBER OVERVIEW The purpose of the Sanitation Team is to maintain a clean healthy and safe working environment for all employees and visitors and to prevent the contamination of our raw materials and finished products. OVERSITE AND MANAGEMENT The Sanitation Team on all shifts will report directly to and be under the supervision of the Sanitation Supervisor. In the absence of the Sanitation Supervisor, the Lead Janitor will be in charge. RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS The Sanitation Team Member is to perform the tasks as described in the Shift Task Schedule developed for each shift. The Sanitation Team Member is to perform tasks assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor in addition to the Shift Task Schedule. The Sanitation Team Member is required to work overtime from time to time, including Saturdays. The Sanitation Team Member is required to be a licensed Fork Lift and Scissor Lift Operator. The Sanitation Team Member is required to be able to work from a Scissor Lift up to 60 ft above the floor. The Sanitation Team Member is required to be able to lift 60 lbs. The Sanitation Team Member is required to have a working knowledge (after a training orientation) of all chemicals being used for sanitation purposes. SCOPE The responsibilities described are to extend to the entire building WORKING CONDITIONS & CHARACTER EXPECTATIONS During the course of duty the Sanitation Team Member is to observe the conditions described in the Handy Wacks Good Manufacturing Practices Policy and be an example of integrity, honesty, and work ethic. Sanitation Team Member Location: Sparta, MI Shift: 2nd shift Pay: $16.50 Job Summary We're seeking a dependable Sanitation Team Member to help maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment for all employees and visitors. In this role, you'll help prevent contamination of raw materials and finished products while ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout the facility. What You'll Be Doing Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks according to the assigned shift schedule. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor. Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire facility. Follow proper chemical handling procedures and sanitation guidelines. Operate forklifts and scissor lifts as required. Maintain a safe and clean working environment while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). What We're Looking For Qualifications & Skills: Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and scissor lift certifications. Comfortable operating a scissor lift up to 60 feet above the floor. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Ability to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays. Willingness to learn and safely handle sanitation chemicals. Strong work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
