Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Able to work overtime when/if neeeded.
Willingness and desire to learn and grow within a company.
Can work comfortably in a GMP facility – no false nails, no jewelry, no false eyelashes.
Preferred Skills:
Previous machine operating experience required. Previous plastic experience is a big plus!
Able to lift 10 lbs consistently and work at a fast pace.
Forklift certified.
A day in the life working at this company looks like working Monday through Friday. In this position, you will be running, setting up, and operating a thermoforming Sencorp machine which forms rolled plastic into small plastic pieces for food packaging. This company is looking for someone with machine set up experience, troubleshooting machinery, and how to fix the machine when it’s not producing quality parts. You will be working with the Packers/Inspectors as well! This company wants to hire you!

Shift: 6 PM to 2 AM (Monday–Friday and some required Saturdays)
Pay: $65,000- $85,000 Annually
Job Summary
Are you someone who enjoys working with plastic thermoformed molding, being part of a team, and producing quality plastic Thermoformed products? We’re seeking a process Technician to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of operations by helping efficiently produce high-quality Plastic thermoform molded products in a team-oriented environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Essential responsibilities include completing safe and efficient product changeovers; removing, installing, aligning, connecting, and verifying form tools, trim tools, stackers, rails, guards, cooling circuits, air lines, vacuum lines, and related machine components; purging and restoring tooling water or antifreeze systems as required; loading approved recipes and establishing startup conditions for heaters, oven zones, timing, forming pressure, vacuum, cooling, trim registration, stack count, and material conveyance; conducting first-piece and in-process inspections; identifying defects such as incomplete forming, webbing, thinning, warpage, poor definition, trim misalignment, contamination, short shots, stacking faults, and dimensional variation; adjusting one process variable at a time within authorized limits; documenting changes and results; escalating conditions that require engineering, maintenance, or quality support; completing startup, shutdown, line-clearance, and changeover documentation; maintaining accurate process sheets and machine history; supporting trials, validations, capability studies, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions; training operators on standard settings, defect recognition, process checks, and escalation requirements; and maintaining organized tooling, parts, work areas, and technical records.
As a Process Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
Assist in tooling assembly, disassembly and maintenance of tools and machinery.
Remove and install form tool, trim tool, stacker and EOAT from machine.
Set rail positions, trim positions, stacker positions and robot positions.
Troubleshoot process issues with minimal to no assistance.
Document process setting and process improvements.
Perform full tool change from good part to good part.
These are the base skills possessed by all Process Techs.
In addition, you will also assist with setup, troubleshooting, and supporting other production tasks based on business needs.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
Prior machine operator experience required
Previous experience in an industrial or warehouse setting required
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Machine operation skills: Ability to operate converting machines to produce plastic mold injection products efficiently and accurately.
Communication and teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with co-workers and support production goals.
Problem-solving abilities: Willingness to troubleshoot issues and learn from others in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational skills: Ability to stay organized and meet production schedules.
Commitment to safety and quality: Focused on maintaining company safety standards and producing quality work.
Troubleshoot machine, mold, and material problems to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Accurately complete Process Verification and Tool Reports as required.
Participate in die change activities and ensure proper care of all equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and machine control systems.
