1st Shift - $16/hr
2nd Shift -$17/hr
Shift: 1st 5:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday- Thursday with possible overtime on Fridays
2nd 4:00 pm to 3:30 am Monday- Thursday with possible overtime on Fridays
Job Summary:
As a Forklift Operator at BPV Environmental, you will play a critical role in our warehouse operations, responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move materials and products throughout our facility.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products throughout the facility
Load and unload materials and products from trucks, trailers, and containers
Transport materials and products to and from production areas, warehouses, and shipping docks
Stack and store materials and products in a safe and efficient manner
Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition
Collaborate with other warehouse staff to achieve efficient and safe warehouse operations
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity
Operate machinery and equipment, such as conveyor belts, packaging machines, and material handling equipment
Assemble products, including cat litter and small animal bedding, and lawn and garden products
Key Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
1-2 years of experience safely operating a forklift / hilo
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery and equipment
Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Must be able to work in a very dusty environment without issue
Preferred Skills
Quality control certification
Basic math skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
