Equipment Sanitizer - Grand Rapids
Come
w
ork at a local tortilla chip manufacturer cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
This is an opportunity for a permanent position with benefits available at hire.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Clean, maintain and sanitize production and packaging machinery, process equipment and work areas in adherence to strict health standards
- Prepare tools, equipment and supplies needed and complete daily paperwork
- Remove waste from the floor, clean machinery, rinse conveyors with pressure hose, apply foam spray as needed
- Respond to emergency cleanups
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred
Skills:
- Able to learn the proper techniques and chemicals needed to clean and sanitize for each area
- Flexible, willing to help where needed
- Must have 6 months of food processing experience or related sanitation experience
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with the team in English
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs max (on rare occasion)
- Must be able to do basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiply)
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout entire shift
- Must be able to work with a team
