Maintenance Technician, Up to $35/hr. - Detroit, MI
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team! You will maintain industrial production and processing machinery.
Job duties
Perform routine preventative maintenance on instrument controls, measuring temperatures, flows, pressures, levels, and other operating variables.
Fabricate and build structural devices
Repair, install and adjust industrial machinery (extruders, reactors, pelletizers, camsizers, airvey system, etc.)
Troubleshoot and diagnose minor electrical problems such as fuses, heaters, motors, and relays.
Assist and provide support to operators in performing daily tasks including but not limited to tool changes;
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
2+ years experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical type equipment.
2+ years experience with welding, pipe fitting and instrumentation.
1+ years experience with electrical and plumbing.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Computer skills
Plastics experience highly desired.
