Job Description:
This role directly reports to Paul Steffens (PM), the main responsibility is to oversee proper printing is carried out at all times at Handy Wacks. Also, this position is responsible for the printer maintenance and working with production and customer service to ensure products are printed in a timely manner. This position will also support and coordinate with the food safety team when needed to make sure products are produced in safe conditions.
Responsibilities:
Working with the other printers to ensure that the prints are correctly done and that the ink colors are mixed according to customer and company specifications.
Carrying out general and preventative maintenance on all equipment related to the printing department and working with the maintenance department to solve any issues that may arise.
Working in direct conjunction with Paul Steffens (Production Manager) and Sue Harrison (Customer Service Manager) to determine print order priority to ensure orders are carried out in a timely manner.
Coordinate with Food Safety Team to ensure the food safety plan on site are implemented.
This position has direct contact with all areas/departments within the plant.
Other duties required by supervisor when necessary to assist effective Handy Wacks operation.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (experience preferred but not required).
Knowledge of the printer, inks and its operation in the related industry (preferred not required).
Knowledge of the maintenance of the printer and its related aspects (preferred not required).
Mechanically Inclined
Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Location: Cedar Springs, MI Shift: 1st shift Pay $18.50
Job SummaryAre you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and a strong team player? We’re seeking a Printing Department Lead to join our team. In this role, you’ll help oversee proper printing operations, support printer maintenance, coordinate production priorities, and work with multiple departments to ensure products are printed safely and on time.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Printing Department Lead, your key responsibilities will include:Overseeing Printing Operations: Working with other printers to ensure prints are completed correctly and ink colors are mixed according to customer and company specifications.
Equipment Maintenance: Performing general and preventative maintenance on equipment related to the printing department and working with the Maintenance Department to resolve equipment issues.
Production Coordination: Working directly with the Production Manager and Customer Service Manager to determine print order priorities and ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
Food Safety Support: Coordinating with the Food Safety Team to help ensure the site's food safety plan is properly implemented.
Cross-Department Communication: Working with all areas and departments throughout the plant to support effective operations.
Team Support: Assisting other team members and performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to help maintain an efficient operation.
What We’re Looking ForQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience with printers, inks, and their operation in a related industry is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of printer maintenance and related equipment is preferred but not required.
Mechanically inclined.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
