Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience/training, or equivalent combination
● Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
● Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
● Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees
● Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs)
● Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
● Dependable with excellent attendance
Skills:
● Excellent communication skills
● Ability to maintain detailed reports and documentation
● Problem-solving abilities
● Ability to work independently and in a team environment
● Comfortable with significant standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs frequently
● Ability to use power equipment and perform weld analysis (cut/etch)
As a Weld Setup/Weld Destruct associate, not only will you be measuring weld nugget sizes, checking weld integrity, recording torque readings, and maintaining data sheets, but you’ll also be responsible for communicating production problems, completing required reports, and keeping a clean and organized work area. This job, depending on your work ethic, could be a short-term or a long-term fit.
