CNC Operator A Grand Haven company specializing in the production of precision machined parts is seeking a CNC Operator to machine parts that meet customer specs. Key Outcomes: Ensure that parts meet blueprint specs Ensure that parts being produced meeting quality standards Produce parts in a timely manner according to customer standards Adjectives: Medium to slow pace, repetitive, attention to detail Competencies: Ability to manage departmental documentation Excellent attendance habits Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Skills: Previous blueprint reading & ability to read micrometers/calipers is required 5 years experience with 2 and 3 axis lathe set up required Experience with G codes and Fanuc control Experience working with multiple cutting tools Jeans, work pants, t-shirt, sweatshirt, work boots. No open toed shoes. Safety glasses MUST be worn. What You'll Be Doing As a CNC Lathe Operator, your core responsibilities will include: Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision-turned components according to specifications. Quality Assurance: Inspect parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to ensure accuracy and consistency. Machine Adjustments: Perform minor program edits, tool changes, and machine adjustments to maintain proper tolerances. In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while contributing to overall production efficiency and quality. What we're looking for To be successful in this role, you should have the following: Qualifications:Prior experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing or job shop environment Ability to set up machines, change tools, and dial in parts accurately Capable of working independently and staying focused in a fast-paced setting Skills: Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of CNC lathe operations, tool offsets, and part finishing to produce high-quality results. Precision Measurement: Proficiency in using micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to verify part dimensions and quality.
