Job Summary
A manufacturing company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support financial processing of transactions. The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounts payable professional capable of working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet goals with limited oversight.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable using SAP Business One
- Communicate with vendors in a professional manner
- Analyze workflow processes to increase efficiency
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
- Match invoices with purchase orders and shipping documents
- Enter invoices into accounting system to process payment
- Review prices, terms of payment, and other charges for accuracy
- Review AP Aging report and reconcile accounts as necessary
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience
- Competency in financial and bookkeeping software (preferably SAP Business One)
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, record keeping, and general ledgers
- Basic data entry skills
- Comfortable with math and calculations
- Good listening and communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Strong "ownership" mentality
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a small company environment
- Accounting Degree
- Experience with office technology (computers, printers, scanners, etc.)
