Job Summary
Workbox Staffing is seeking a skilled and reliable Acme Screw Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain Acme multi-spindle screw machines to produce high-quality precision components. Your work will directly support production efficiency, product accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Acme Screw Machine Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating Acme multi-spindle screw machines to produce precision metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.
- Adjusting tooling, feeds, and speeds to maintain accuracy and optimize machine performance.
- Inspecting finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.
- Performing routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
- Monitoring production runs to ensure consistency, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
In addition, you may assist with troubleshooting issues, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating Acme or similar screw machines for 1- 2 years
- Previous machine setup and troubleshooting experience
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and machine setup
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
