What You'll Be Doing
As an Advanced Bookkeeper / Assistant Controller, your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable, ACH transactions, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintaining QuickBooks Records: Handle detailed bookkeeping, financial tracking, and reporting to support business decisions.
- Overseeing Inventory Control: Track and manage inventory data to maintain accurate cost and stock information.
In addition, you will also be expected to handle tax payments, yearly registrations, and 401K plan administration, ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or assistant controller roles
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
- Familiarity with payroll, ACH transactions, and accounts payable
- Experience managing inventory and handling tax or registration filings
- Availability to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays (required), with flexibility on other days
- Willingness to travel to the Ypsilanti location periodically (biweekly or monthly depending on schedule)
