What You'll Be Doing

As an Accounts Payable / General Office Assistant, your core responsibilities will include:
-Managing Accounts Payable functions: Match vendor invoices with receiving reports, process invoices for payment, maintain accurate A/P records, print checks on scheduled payment dates, and ensure month-end processes are completed accurately.
-Supporting office operations and customer service: Answer multi-line phones, assist customers and vendors, respond to emails, stamp and sort mail, and provide general administrative support throughout the office.
-Providing cross-functional support: Serve as a backup for Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and other office functions, including order entry, billing, quotes, purchasing assistance, HR-related administrative tasks, and support for office management and leadership.
-In addition, you will also be expected to make online payments as required, maintain accurate documentation, collaborate with warehouse and sales personnel, and provide dependable support to management and fellow team members as business needs evolve.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • Previous Accounts Payable, bookkeeping, or general office experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company software systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees across multiple departments
Skills:
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process invoices, maintain records, and identify discrepancies.
Organization & Time Management: Capable of balancing multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
Customer Service & Communication: Professional and friendly communication with customers, vendors, and internal team members to foster positive working relationships.
