Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess basic math skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.
- Ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Practical problem solving that can occur during the assembly process.
- Frequent manual and finger dexterity required by the daily use of hand tools.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, crouch, or kneel.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly.
Skills:
- Positioning parts according to the work order and blueprints.
- Fastening parts together with bolts, screws, clips, rivets or other fasteners.
- Operating hand drills, tool and rivet machines to assist in assembly operations.
- Recording all labor and downtime, documenting all information pertaining to each work order and routing.
- Helping maintain all company safety regulations to provide a clean, accident-free and healthy work environment.
- Verification of the fit, function and cosmetics meet or exceed Company quality expectations.
- Conferring with the team or crew leaders on any problems regarding safety, quality, production or inventory issues.
As an Assembly 1st shift $15.50/hr, not only will you be responsible for assembling a variety of products and utilizing hand and power tools, but you'll also be ensuring the fit, function, and cosmetics of products meet or exceed quality expectations and maintaining a safe work environment. This job, depending on your work ethic, could be a short-term or a long-term fit.
