Job Summary
Manufacture specialty commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. As an Assembly/Production Builder, you will perform a variety of hands-on tasks to assemble industrial HVAC units. Work includes building subassemblies, installing insulation, and assisting with installation of components such as fans, shafts, and dampers. After training, you will also assemble smaller HVAC units. All tasks will be taught, though construction, blueprint reading, and hand tool experience are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools (wrenches, hammers, pliers, drills) to build subassemblies.
- Install high-temp padding using knives or spot welders.
- Assist in installing mechanical components such as fans, shafts, and dampers.
- Build and construct steel box frames for HVAC units.
- Operate Hi-Lo and overhead crane equipment (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean, safe work area while following all company safety policies.
- Communicate and coordinate tasks effectively with other departments.
- Work overtime as required.
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with construction, hand tools, and blueprint reading preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding positions (standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching).
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to climb ladders up to 10 feet.
- Comfortable working in a heated, non-air-conditioned shop floor environment.
