Job Summary
Are you someone who enjoys working with your hands, using a variety of tools, and being part of a team that values safety, quality, and efficiency? We’re seeking an Assembler II to join our team in Holland, MI. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the production process by assembling components, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assembler II, your core responsibilities will include:
- Assembly Work: Assemble, operate, and disassemble materials and components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Quality & Inspection: Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy while palletizing completed units for shipment.
- Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation while supporting lean manufacturing practices.
In addition, you will also requisition parts and supplies as needed, participate in cross-training opportunities, and identify/report unsafe conditions or production issues.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
- Less than high school education; up to 6 months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but routine instructions and solve basic problems
Skills:
- Tool Proficiency: Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in assembly work and quality inspections
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Teamwork & Communication: Strong communication skills with a willingness to cross-train and support team goals
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to working safely while meeting productivity expectations
