Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a hands-on manufacturing opportunity? We’re seeking a 1st Shift Assembler to join our team in Big Rapids, Michigan. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in assembling high-quality products for customer shipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a 1st Shift Assembler, your core responsibilities will include:
Assemble Final Products: Build finished products to customer specifications using hand tools, power tools, and an overhead crane to ensure proper fit and function.
Manage Materials & Production Orders: Access electronic production systems to review schedules, create pick lists, verify materials, and update order status accurately.
Inspect for Quality & Accuracy: Perform inspections on incoming components, work-in-progress assemblies, and completed products, correcting or replacing unacceptable parts as needed.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform final quality and visual inspections, prepare and package products for shipment, enter order data and create labels, investigate and document production nonconformance issues, and assist with staging products for shipment or the next production process.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

Skills
Tool Usage: Ability to safely and effectively use basic hand, air, cordless, and electric tools to complete assembly tasks.
Technical & System Skills: Ability to utilize electronic production and maintenance management systems using tools such as PCs, tablets, keyboards, mice, and RF guns.
Attention to Detail: Ability to read and follow basic blueprints, maintain good color perception, and demonstrate strong manual dexterity to ensure quality workmanship.
