Job Summary
The Assembly Production Associate operates equipment required to produce automotive parts, ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Load/unload automotive stampings from production lines
- Use manual and robotic systems to apply welds, adhesive, etc.
- Inspect and properly load parts into containers
- Tag, label, and track piece parts with accurate documentation
- Use SPC and other quality methods to grade/document part conditions
- Support equipment changeovers and adjustments
- Follow QS9000 standards and safety guidelines
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Work independently and support team goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ months manufacturing experience preferred
- Machine operation experience
- Must be able to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, including reading safety/operational documents
- Basic math skills, including metric system understanding
- Problem-solving and reasoning skills for written/oral instructions
Preferred Skills
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with quality systems (SPC, QS9000)
- Team-oriented with good housekeeping practices
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift (25–35 lbs) for 8+ hours
- Work in a manufacturing environment with automated machinery
- Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations, and airborne particles
