Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual eager to learn in a hands-on technical environment? A local company is seeking an Assistant Trainee to join our team. In this role, you'll support certified technicians while gaining valuable skills in inspection services and NDT methods used to ensure product quality and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Trainee, your core responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Technicians: Assist with inspection projects, daily tasks, and report preparation.
- Work Area Preparation: Set up, clean, and organize work areas, equipment, and materials to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Learning NDT Methods: Observe and learn various non-destructive testing techniques such as Radiography, Ultrasonic, and Magnetic Particle testing.
- Documentation: Help complete and organize all required client and company paperwork accurately.
- Safety Practices: Follow all company safety procedures and enforce the use of personal protective equipment.
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and earn certifications in multiple NDT disciplines.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed
Skills:
- Ability to read and understand technical documents (preferred)
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, adaptable, and safety-conscious attitude
