What You'll Be Doing
As an
Automatic Press Operator
, your core responsibilities will include:
● Operating automatic stamping presses: Run and monitor machines to produce metal parts that meet all quality and production standards.
● Setting up and adjusting equipment: Configure dies, tools, and materials for each job to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
● Inspecting and maintaining quality: Perform regular part inspections to identify and correct defects, maintaining consistent production quality.
● Troubleshooting and minor repairs: Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
● Performing regular maintenance: Lubricate, clean, and replace worn components to keep presses running safely and efficiently.
Additionally, you’ll document production data, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with your team to continuously improve operations.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training in press operation preferred).
● 1–3 years of experience operating automatic presses or similar manufacturing equipment.
● Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
● Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

● Mechanical Aptitude: Capable of troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining press machinery effectively.
● Attention to Detail: Ensures all stamped parts meet strict quality and accuracy standards.
● Teamwork & Communication: Works well with others to meet production goals and maintain a safe environment.
● Problem-Solving: Quickly identifies and resolves equipment or process issues to prevent downtime.
● Computer Literacy: Comfortable using basic programs for production tracking and data entry.
● Mechanical Aptitude: Capable of troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining press machinery effectively.
