Bar Straightener
to operate machinery used in straightening steel bars. This full-time opportunity is perfect for someone mechanically inclined and ready to join a busy, reliable work environment.
Qualifications:
- Fork truck license required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to
lift up to 25 lbs
and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Locate material in the yard based on schedule and material tags
- Operate a bar straightening machine , including setup and adjustments
- Use pneumatic banding tools and steel banding to secure material
- Operate a Hilo (forklift) to load, unload, and move materials
- Enter production data into the computer system and complete paperwork
- Use hand grinder and monitor coolant levels in machines
- Perform
daily Hilo inspections
and help maintain a
clean work environment
